How to Take Your Own Path Starts with Stillness
We’ve all heard the advice: Be yourself. Take your own path. March to the beat of your own drum. But how often do we actually stop to ask what that really means? Especially in a world that celebrates conformity and constantly bombards us with messages about what success “should” look like.
This Scorpio New Moon (happening November 19, 2025) brings a powerful energetic opening to reflect deeply on your truth and set meaningful intentions based on who you really are — not who the world tells you to be.
New Moons are always a time to pause, listen inward, and set intentions for the cycle ahead. But Scorpio’s energy brings emotional depth and intensity. This sign isn’t afraid to explore what’s been hidden — the secrets we suppress, the truths we ignore, the desires we’ve been told are “too much.”
In this week’s episode of The Moon Method, I walk you through a 3-step framework for how to take your own path using the Moon’s rhythm, the cosmic support of Uranus and Black Moon Lilith, and the clarity that comes when you finally listen to you.
Step Into Your Own World to Hear Yourself Think
The first step to taking your own path is disconnecting from everyone else’s.
We live in a world that doesn’t pause. 24/7 news, social media scrolls, a constant stream of “input,” …it’s no wonder we feel out of touch with ourselves. And while technology has certainly brought convenience, it’s also created a world where our nervous systems are in perpetual reaction mode.
This New Moon asks you to step away from that — even just for a moment. Pause the scroll. Set down the phone. Turn inward. Whether it’s through journaling, walking in silence, or simply placing your hand on your heart and breathing, this step is about remembering that you exist outside of all that noise.
And when you do? You’ll start to hear the voice of your soul again.

Lean Into Your Truth with Support from the Stars
Now that you’ve created space to tune in — it’s time to go deeper.
This Scorpio New Moon is joined by the Sun, Mercury, and Black Moon Lilith, all merging together in the sky. Scorpio represents our emotional truth, and with Lilith involved, we’re being asked to acknowledge parts of ourselves that don’t fit neatly into the “acceptable” boxes. The ones we’ve hidden, ignored, or suppressed because they’re too wild, too weird, too real.
This is the week to lean in — and set intentions that are deeply authentic.
And if you’re not sure what to focus your intentions on, that’s where your birth chart comes in. Scorpio rules a specific area of life for you (career, love, health, communication, etc.) — and when you know which area it’s activating, your intentions become that much more powerful.

When You Take Your Own Path, Discomfort is Part of the Process
Once you’ve found your truth, the next step is holding onto it — especially when it goes against the grain.
That’s where Uranus comes in. Directly opposite the Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Lilith during this New Moon, Uranus represents the unexpected, the unconventional, the “you’re really going to do that?” energy. It’s testing you, not to stop you — but to strengthen you. To show you what it really means to be different in a world that rewards sameness.
But if what you’ve uncovered is real — if it excites you, moves you, and makes you feel more alive — then it’s worth protecting.
Taking your own path won’t always feel comfortable. You may have to make different choices, say no to what used to feel normal, and walk through moments of doubt. But those things don’t mean you’re on the wrong path. They mean you’re on yours.
How to make most of this New Moon
Write down your intentions in the present tense, and let yourself feel what it would be like to live them. This is how you energetically align with your future.
Then, in nine months when we reach the First Quarter Moon in Scorpio, the Moon will return to this spot in the sky — and you’ll be ready to water the seed you planted now.
✨ You don’t need permission to take your own path. You just need to pause long enough to hear where it begins.
